Dear Brothers of the ALL Africa Baptist Men’s Fellowship

My dear brothers in Christ

It is with great honour and a truly humbling moment for me as I thank God for leading you to choose us to serve as your Executive team. 5 years ago in Ghana, my humble self was asked to serve as AABMF Secretary General. This was a responsibility I took with great enthusiasm which was further buttress by the contengeuous commitment of Executive team headed by our brother Dr. Dawari George. His strong and visionary leadership full of passion for kingdom business quickly contaminated the team and we worked like a family.  Five years on, we are celebrating what God led his team to accomplish for His glory. I commend the mentorship that this team provided to me.

Today, God has called a new team under my humble leadership to drive through the vision of the AABMF for the next five years. On behalf of this new team, we pledge our total commitment by God’s grace to seeing surpassing growth of the AABMF during the next five years. We recognize that this new team is taking over from a team that had worked par excellence. The shoe Dr. Dawari George is leaving behind would take God’s grace to fill, but we do trust that God shall lead us to accomplish greater exploits for His glory during the next 5 years. A solid foundation has already been laid on which we shall be building.

  • A constitution has been ratified, thus we shall ensure its full implementation across the 5 sub-regions of Africa
  • Registration forms and communication channels have been developed, thus we shall ensure increase registration, regular reporting and support of unions activities
  • Two bank accounts have been opened, thus we shall ensure increase mobilization of funds to drive ministry activities within and out of the continent
  • A five year action plan was developed and realize, thus we shall build on the lessons learnt to plan for the next 5 years; and the list goes on…..

My brothers in Christ, we take up this service with full knowledge that as stewards of our master’s business, striving to be recommended servants of Christ, we shall render an account of our stewardship to Him. Thus, we don’t take this responsibility lightly. Notwithstanding, we envisage collective action from each and every one of us-Baptist Men of Africa according to our various abilities and giftedness. We count on your fervent prayers, counsel and support as we embark on this task for which God has called us for this time.

I wish to thank all those who took part in making this virtual General Council a great success especially the outgoing executive, the support of the BWA during this transmission and the technicians working in the background booking our meetings and assembling our presentations. I express our gratitude and thanks to all of you joining this general council from all over Africa. The warmth of our deliberations would not have been the same without you connecting as you did.

Despite the prevailing challenges we face with Covid 19, my brothers, I urge you to Remain Strong, Firm and Steadfast. Extend my calvary greetings to all the members of your unions and family especially your beloved wives and children. May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit abide with us always as we serve Him faithfully.

Thank you very much and may God bless you.

Your humble servant

Br. Edison Chimi Yuniwo
