Mr. Kiran Desai, President

Mr. Kiran Desai holds B.S. degree in chemistry from Gujarat University and M.B.A. from Illinois State University. He has served on the board of Directors for Sangamon County Red Cross chapter for eight years including two years as board chairman. He has also served on a committee for the United Way of Central Illinois. He has served on the Human Relations Commission for the city of Springfield, IL, Mayor's Annual Prayer breakfast committee representing Hindu faith. He is retired from the Illinois State Board of Education.

 

Mr. Suryakant Shukla, Secretary

Mr. Suryakant Shukla holds B.S. degree in Chemistry from Gujarat University and B.S. degree in Chemical engineering and Petroleum Engineering from Montana State University. Mr. Shukla has over 35 years of experiences in various business operations. He has traveled extensively throughout theUSA and the world. He is presently involved in establishing a senior center for Indo- American Seniors to be helpful in resolving many cultural, economic and social problems. He is also a member of the Bergen County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services. He is also involved in the wide scale education activities for seniors in the county.

 

Jasvant Shah, Treasurer

Mr. Jasvant Shah is the Co-Founder of AABMF, year 2003 and has restructured the Foundation with revised By Laws, set up the infrastructure of the Foundation to meet new challenges and commitments to work for the Foundation for a noble cause. His specific responsibilities include: project development and its implementation, preparation of project proposals for funding, the coordination of all sub committee teams to assemble the necessary information on projects. Also, he has the responsibility of the duties of Treasurer as mentioned in the By Laws. He has also worked with the non profit organization, Veerayatan International as the project chairperson from the year 2001 to Dec. 2003, and was actively involved in building the school project at Jakhania, Kutch, Gujarat due to the earthquake that occurred in Jan. 2001. He also has set up the Bergen County Senior Citizen Organization in Bergen County, NJ, a non profit organization. He also did all the legal work including, registration to the State, writing the By Laws and obtaining the necessary approval for the Federal Tax exempt status under article 501(c)3.
